Action Plan; Tracking food reactions

It can be helpful to keep track of your baby’s reactions to food. It may help you find any sensitivities or allergies your baby has. You can keep a simple journal of the new foods you feed your baby. This will provide a record of which foods might have triggered a reaction. If they show symptoms, you can check your records. Your journal can also serve as something to add to their baby book. Below is a basic layout you can follow to create your food journal. You can also use the printable below.

Remember, offer only 1 new food at a time. Wait 3-5 days before offering another new food.

Table: Date First Offered: 02/02/2020; Food: Strawberries; Reactions: Rash and redness on cheeks and arms; Diaper: Normal
