Place garlic, chickpeas, yogurt, 1 tablespoon water, salt, oil and lemon juice in blender or food processor and pulse until ingredients start to combine.

Once combined, puree mixture until smooth. Transfer mixture to a bowl.

Add rest of water to the food processor or blender and mix for a few seconds to get the remaining hummus off the edges.

Add water mixture to bowl a little at a time with a whisk until creamy and smooth.
TIP
Serve with your favorite vegetables and/or pita bread. For smoother hummus, peel skins from chickpeas. Add some tahini (sesame paste) for extra creamy richness and flavor! You can also add a pinch of cumin or paprika. Chopped parsley would make a nice garnish
