Use the free tools at MyPlate.gov to plan meals and snacks for you and your family. If you are visiting MyPlate.gov on a mobile device, you may need to rotate your phone to see the full table.
Follow these simple steps:
STEP 1: Go to MyPlate.gov/MyPlatePlan. Look for “Get Your MyPlate Plan”. Then choose the start button. Carefully read and respond to the prompts. These may include age, sex (gender), and activity.
STEP 2: After entering the person's information, choose "Calculate food plan".
STEP 3: MyPlate will provide a link with the person's daily recommended number of calories. Choose that link to get the person's MyPlate Plan. The MyPlate Plan provides the person's daily recommended amounts for each food group.
Repeat these steps to get the recommended food group amounts for each family member. Then you can use that information to plan your family's meals and snacks! If you like, use this action plan to plan a week of meals.
