On a piece of paper, plan 1 to 3 soups using the simple formula below. When planning each soup, consider:
- Making a double batch and freezing half
- Using a slow cooker or multicooker (Instant Pot®)
- Including leftover ingredients like veggies, meats, rice, and beans
- Adding veggies that need to be eaten soon
Choose ingredients that are:
- full of nutrients
- limited in added sugars, saturated fat, and sodium
- from at least 3 food groups; always include a veggie
