Action Plan: Making smoothies

 

On a piece of paper, write out a plan for making 1 to 3 smoothies. As you plan each smoothie, keep these tips in mind: 

  • Use seasonal veggies and fruits
  • Freeze veggies and fruit that need to be eaten soon
  • Make a double batch and have one later in the week
  • Freeze smoothies for an on-the-go meal or snack

Use the guide below to combine tasty ingredients into delicious smoothies. Choose ingredients that are: 

  • full of nutrients 
  • limited in added sugars
  • from at least 2 food groups
