M maybe you have been using baby sign language for some time or maybe this is new to you. You can teach your child sign language to help them communicate. Explore this Baby Sign Language video. [This link will open in a new tab.] It includes 5 signs you can learn with your baby or child to make communication easier.

Children all learn to speak at different speeds. Between 6-12 months, a lot of babies are not speaking yet. Baby sign language can help you communicate with your baby before they learn all their words. It is still important to talk to your baby and encourage them to speak. However, baby sign language can be a fun tool you use in the meantime. If you have concerns about your child’s speech and communication, speak to your child’s health care provider or WIC counselor.
